Panasonic HDC-SDT750 Review

Panasonic's HDC-SDT750 HD adds a 3D lens to a solid 2D Full HD camcorder. While it was a worthwhile experiment, unfortunately the overall results are far from stellar—especially in 3D.

Panasonic HDC-SDT750 3D Camcorder Reviewed

Equally great 2D recording can be found for less money but if good quality 3D appeals to you then the HDC-SDT750 from Panasonic is certainly worth a look-see.

3MOS imaging produces high quality 2D images, 12x optical zoom, Pristine images at 1080/60p, Produces very acceptable 3D video

3D mode disables almost all manual controls

Panasonic HDC-SDT750

Identical performance to the TM700, in addition to somewhat limited 3D capability

Good scores in both color and noise; Good low light performance

Poor 24p footage; 3D content very hard to shoot correctly

The HDC-SDT750 ($1399 MSRP) is an extraordinary camcorder for capturing regular 2D content, but its 3D features are definitely limited. Performance-wise, we were definitely impressed with how well the camcorder recorded footage in 3D, but we were...

Panasonic HDC-SDT750 3D camcorder review

We review Panasonic's first consumer-level 3D camcorder

Excellent Full HD video performance, multi-purpose servo ring, 3D looks effective (when shot correctly)

3D shooting takes some getting used to, camcorder gets hot during operation, no 3D photo options

The Panasonic HDC-SDT750 is a bold step forwards into 3D videography. Perhaps more importantly, it doubles as an excellent 2D camcorder. If you own a 3D TV, it represents a very logical purchase.

Panasonic's debut consumer 3D camcorder is far more than a gimmick

Panasonic HDC-SDT750

The 3D revolution seems inevitable. Analysts predict a massive take up of 3D TVs , as much as 45 per cent of all models sold by 2014, and 3D theatrical releases continue to rake in healthy box-office revenues. Both studios and PPV operators are licking...

3D film-making is no longer the preserve of Hollywood, an excellent 2D Full HD cam to boot

The 3D conversion lens is bulky, no zoom or auto-functions in 3D mode, high price premium for stereoscopy

Panasonic brings 3D creativity to the home user - and it turns out to be a lot more entertaining than watching a ceaseless cavalcade of big-screen 3D ‘toons. The HDC-SDT750 is essentially the HDC-SDT700 shipped with a conversion lens the size of a...

Panasonic HDC-SDT750 review

As the first consumer 3D camcorder, Panasonic's HDC-SDT750 allows anyone, with deep enough pockets, to have a go at 3D movie-making. It may be ground-breaking, but it's also rather familiar-looking. That's because the camcorder component of this kit is...

At £1,200 it’s ludicrously priced, but it’s the first of its type, so if you really want to shoot in 3D you’ve little choice than to pay up.

Panasonic HDC-SDT750 review

The Panasonic HDC-SDT750 is the world's first consumer-targeted 3D camcorder, following in the footsteps of the professional-level Panasonic AG-3DA1E. Like its prohibitively expensive stablemate, the Panasonic HDC-SDT750 uses a detachable 3D conversion...

Considering it's the first 3D camcorder in its class, the Panasonic HDC-SDT750 is a pretty impressive unit. It comes with all the features you'd expect from a high-end Panasonic camcorder, along with the much-touted 3D conversion lens. Of course, the...
